ERICC Inception Report and Forthcoming Research

Education Research in Conflict and Protracted Crisis (ERICC) is a three-year Education in Emergencies (EiCC) research programme funded by the British Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO). Countries in focus include Bangladesh (Cox’s Bazar), Jordan, Lebanon, Myanmar, Nigeria, South Sudan and Syria. The programme is comprised of four main components:

  1. Research on the most effective approaches to education in conflict and protracted crisis,
  2. In-Country Operational Support,
  3. Promoting research uptake across FCDO and the international community, and
  4. Knowledge Systems Strengthening.

The ERICC Research Programme Consortium (RPC), published its Inception Report in March 2023. The report provides an overview of the consortium, their theory of change, conceptual framework, process for developing country research agendas and more. You can also read the consortium’s conceptual framework developed by NYU Global TIES for Children during the Inception Period, and interact with the interactive version

The ERICC RPC will be publishing Evidence Reviews and Research Agendas for Cox’s Bazar, Jordan and Nigeria in the coming month. Also soon to be published are the Global-level Evidence Review, Global-level Research Agenda Overview, Country Data Systems Reviews, Country Study Concept Notes, and Political Economy Analyses.

Stay tuned for more!
