This ILO International Conference will be held on 11-12 May 2017 in Geneva, Switzerland. It aims to deepen understanding of the labor market effects of various types of skill mismatch and how they can be best measured in different country contexts. It will include ILO research and also present the work of other partner international organizations.
The conference will focus on defining, measuring and understanding jobs and skills mismatch and its labor market impact in different country settings. Sessions will also consider the different employment and skills policies required to more effectively counter mismatch and the implications for jobs and skills mismatch as the future of work and skills evolves. New research on jobs and skills mismatch from every region of the globe will be presented and discussed.
