Panel discussion on “International Education Development Challenges and Agenda 2030” (Geneva)
NORRAG is pleased to present the programme for the upcoming panel discussion entitled “International Education Development Challenges and Agenda 2030”, with our new Director Professor Gita Steiner-Khamsi. Professor Steiner-Khamsi has been seconded by Columbia University, where she is a Professor of Comparative and International Education at Teachers College, to strengthen the field of international education at The Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva. She holds a dual academic affiliation as a full professor, splitting her time between the two institutions. Professor Steiner-Khamsi is actively engaged in the professionalisation of international and comparative education, having written extensively on globalisation studies, comparative policy studies and development issues.
The presentation by Gita Steiner-Khamsi will be followed by a panel discussion with:
- Mario Novelli, Professor of the Political Economy of Education, University of Sussex
- Nicholas Burnett, Managing Director, Results for Development, Washington D.C.
- Joost Monks, Executive Director, NORRAG (moderator)
The event is organized by the Graduate Institute and NORRAG. It will take place on Tuesday 14th March 2017 18h30-20h30 in Auditorium A2, Maison de la Paix, The Graduate Institute, Geneva.
