In the context of its Collaborative Programme with the Center for Researching Education and Labour (REAL) at the University of the Witwatersrand, NORRAG will be participating in a series of events on 4th April 2017 in Johannesburg, South Africa.


“Reaching the Unreached : Skills Development Policies and the Promise of ICT”
4th April Morning: 9:30 - 12:30


NORRAG will take part in the seminar entitled “Reaching the Unreached : Skills Development Policies and the Promise of ICT”. This event will present the results of an ongoing scoping study jointly undertaken by the REAL Center, NORRAG and AMMACHI Labs, which investigates the interplay between skills development and ICT policies and practice at national and local levels, focusing on marginalised populations in South Africa and India.
The event will be introduced by Stephanie Matseleng Allais, Associate Professor and Director of the REAL Center.

The seminar is hosted by the REAL Center, AMMACHI Labs at AMRITA University in India, and NORRAG Network for International Policies in Education and Training, an Associate Programme of the Graduate Institute, Geneva, Switzerland.

"Education, Training and Agenda 2030 - What Progress? Perspectives from South Africa"
4th April 2017 Afternoon: 15:00-18:00

Following the release of NORRAG News 54 on "Education, Training and Agenda 2030: what progress one year on", NORRAG will join a panel discussion which will focus on the South African perspectives on the implementation of SDG 4.

The Welcoming and Opening Address will be made by Andrew Crouch, Professor and Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of the Witwatersrand.
