This Symposium will initiate a series of annual events that will explore issues around the topic of Philanthropy in Education.
The first Symposium will map global education activity, address key issues in and related to the sector, and allow for the sharing of good philanthropic practices. It will also consider complementary and seek to foster collaboration between education philanthropy actors, national policy makers, representatives of international organizations and academia. Part of the Symposium will be public, while specific workshops will be on invitation only.
The Symposium outputs will include an edited volume on present global trends in philanthropy in education and will lay the foundations for the thematic focuses of the events that will be organized over the coming years, both in the North and South.
In addition to this joint project, the Al Qasimi Foundation for Policy Research is also in charge for the translation and contextualization of NORRAG News and NORRAG Special Issue into Arabic, including the organization of local events around the thematic areas covered in NORRAG News.
